Building Blocks is committed to providing excellence in education for students from diverse backgrounds. We are a child-centered school that promotes play-based learning while children develop a Christ-centered value system. The Building Blocks philosophy is focused on providing a high-quality early childhood education that promotes the development of lifelong learning. Our belief is that all children should have the opportunity to grow and learn to their fullest potential through active participation in experiences that are meaningful to them. We recognize each child as a unique individual with particular patterns of growth and development. We provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that assists in building a positive self-concept. We also provide hands-on, developmentally appropriate experiences that allow young children to explore, be creative, make choices and solve problems so they develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and physically.
Building Blocks Preschool is a place that provides love, nurture, and learning for children in our community. Peg Metroff’s joy and enthusiasm brought smiles to the faces of so many of these children that had passed through the doors and hallways of Building Blocks. Each year Building Blocks encounters a few families who desire this type of learning experience for the child, but for whom tuition is a challenge. It is our hope that no family will ever be turned away because of money. For this reason, the Metroff family has decided to offer a memorial in honor of Peg’s incredible career in teaching and her heart for kids in the form of a Scholarship Fund. This memorial will help ensure that Building Blocks is able to continue offering the highest level of education, care, and faith development for children, even those for whom finances may be a challenge. This is a huge blessing to Building Blocks Preschool, but most importantly, to those families who will be blessed by this gift.
